Black, Brown and POC-identified Bay Area and Los Angeles-based performers, this message is for you

After the success of last November’s sold-out performance, we’re preparing encore shows of our live production Mighty Real: A Sketch Variety Show. On March 19 and 20, ItsQwere is hosting a virtual open call for talented stage performers to join the cast for encore performances.

Recalling ’90s-era comedy TV shows like In Living Color, All That, and Saturday Night Live, Mighty Real is scripted by a team of Black and Brown people, weaving together performances of spoken word, pop song parodies, dance and, of course, sketch comedy.

We’re seeking all types of mighty talent: poets, vocalists, magicians (and other unusual talents), comedians, musicians, dancers, and actors. Black, Brown, and POC-identified talent based in Los Angeles and the Bay Area are preferred. Performance dates are tentatively scheduled for the weekend of June 17 in San Francisco and July 15 weekend in Los Angeles. You must be available both weekends to be considered.

10-minute virtual auditions will be held on Zoom Sunday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific and Monday, March 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific.
