TUNE IN TO THE Bay Area’s favorite variety show
Mighty Real: A Sketch Variety Show returns for an encore performance on Friday, January 31 during SF Sketchfest 2025. Featuring greatest hits from last summer’s “Must See TV” theme, we’re spoofing television favorites like Judge Judy, The Maury Povich Show and The Home Shopping Network.
About Mighty Real
Mighty Real, the annual live production by ItsQwere, has always featured evolving themes, notable among them being November 2022’s sold-out Mighty Real: A Sketch Variety Show and the summer 2023 encore performance by the same name.

Mighty Real takes new shape each November with previous performances including A Live Musiq Event (2018) at The Peppermint Club in West Hollywood, A Queer Comedy Night (2019) at San Francisco’s PianoFight, the pandemic-inspired Sunday sermon, Black Voices In Conversation (2021), and the aforementioned A Sketch Variety Show.
An encore performance of A Sketch Variety Show during the National Queer Arts Festival last June raised $10,000 with support from Queer Cultural Center, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and a host of community partners, friends, and family.
Started in a San Francisco living room in 2018, community events + social organization ItsQwere has engaged LGBTQ folks across the country and internationally through conversation salons, poetry readings, panel discussions, social media, a book club and live productions.
