A read through on June 17 kicked off the official rehearsal schedule for Mighty Real 2024. Joined by the show’s writers and production team, seven cast members read through new sketches together for the first time in a closed virtual session.
Inspired by ’90s-era comedy like In Living Color, SNL and All That, Mighty Real: A Sketch Variety Show returns for its third year. Happening August 1, 2, and 3 at Eclectic Box in San Francisco, the show’s theme is “Must See TV”, and spoofing binge-worthy guilty pleasures is the name of the game.

Enter the courtroom of Judge Magorpin, Lord Justice of planet Mars; the Martians are real, the decisions are final. Mighty Real by ItsQwere takes its name from the 1978 Billboard chart-topping hit “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” by Sylvester; the flamboyant, androgynous, San Francisco chanteuse whose unmatched vocals made him an international music sensation and a queer icon.
