On April 25, 2018, a small group of us met inside a private San Francisco residence to discuss what it means being a queer person of color during a revolution towards inclusion and visibility, when anyone with a social media megaphone can say whatever they want, however hurtful or uplifting.
Since that first salon, Hear+Qwere has been fortunate to shine a light on the queer spectrum's most vibrant members from New York City to Istanbul to Los Angeles and beyond, exploring the nuances, beauty, and misunderstandings of marginalization.
As we prepare for the next year of community engagement, I want to thank you all for your participation and support. I'm so inspired for - and can't wait to share - what's on the horizon for the rest of 2019.
